Pierre, SD (January 4, 2013) - The Associated General Contractors of South Dakota, Heavy-Highway-Utilities Chapter and Building Chapter, along with the Land Improvement Contractors Association (LICA) are hosting their annual South Dakota State Convention, January 7-9, 2013 at The Lodge at Deadwood in Deadwood, SD.
This event will attract hundreds of contractor & associate member firms from across the region who come together for educational seminars, motivational speakers, and entertainment all for the greater good of the industry. Attendees will have the chance to hear from, Steve Sandheer the CEO of AGC of America who will be attending from Washington, D.C. and Deadwood Mayor Frances Toscano.
“We are excited to welcome Mr. Sandherr back to South Dakota, he has an immense knowledge of the construction industry as a whole and can give us his perspective of the current state of the industry across the nation,” said Toby Crow, Executive Vice President of the AGC of South Dakota, Highway Heavy Utilities Chapter.
“Construction is a large revenue generator for the state and the size of this conference reveals how many people and organizations are impacted by the construction our member firms do. We have over 300 attendees and visitors registered! If the construction sector is successful the rest of the economy should naturally follow! That is what the AGC is all about, making sure our members are successful!” said Michelle Lounsbery, Executive Director of the AGC of South Dakota Building Chapter.
